In the summer of 2004, the Lord brought a coin to my attention by way of a dream in the night. He showed me myself on my knees on the floor looking for "something." I began to find pennies in the carpet. I picked up one penny, then another penny, then an old worn 1939 nickel that looked blood stained. I looked up and asked the question, "what am I looking for?" I heard God say, "A 1902 Penny." I was then awakened out of my sleep. I lay there pondering the dream, and I thanked the Lord for what He had shown me because I knew that He wanted to be glorified by it. I only told my husband and daughter at the time. We began looking everywhere in the house for that penny, but could not find it. I prayed and asked the Lord to show me where it was because I believed He had shown me an extraordinary thing. He told me to read Luke chapter 15, verses 8 and 9. After I read it, I was now more than certain that if I looked diligently for it, I would find it. I kept searching throughout the house for it, and just as He had shown me in that dream, I found myself on my knees on the floor, finding pennies in the carpet. Then there it was, the same old blood stained looking 1939 nickel laying there in the carpet just as God had shown it to me in the dream. I knew that 1902 penny would be found next. Once again I prayed, and the Lord showed me in another dream, my daughter sitting on a pile of boxes, on the back seat of our car as it was going down the highway. I understood that must be in one of those moving boxes that we had packed in our daughter's room. I looked through all those boxes, still no penny turned up. Finally, as I sat exhausted on the floor in my daughter's room one day, I said, "Lord I'm tired, I don't know where to look anymore." I heard a still small voice in my spirit say, "It's over there tucked away in that corner behind "that" box. Sure enough, as I moved that box, there it was, just as God had said, tucked away in the corner between the carpet and floorboard, a 1902 penny. I could only stand there in awe as I held it in my hand looking at it. The Living God is real and He hasn't changed. It was shortly after then, God spoke to me in another dream. He showed me two restaurants, and I heard the words "double penny." As I appeared in the restaurant, I noticed there were people standing off to the side but no one was at the order counter. I walked up to the counter and placed an order for a chicken sandwich. But I changed my mind and asked for the fish sandwich. As I walked out, I could discern pennies in my hand. When I awoke, I said, Lord I don't know which restaurant to go to so I'll just go. As I headed out, I heard the Lord say, "go to Burger King." When I walked inside, there was no one in line at the order counter, but there were a few standing off to the side. I walked up, placed my order for a chicken sandwich, and suddenly changed my mind and ordered a fish sandwich. It was "then" that I remembered that part of the dream. I "knew" somehow to ask for all pennies in change back. When I made it back home, I began to look through those pennies and there it was, this unusual looking penny. It's image on the front and back was raised and I could plainly see that it had been "double struck!" I began to study old coins. To my surprise, I found out that according to all "published" coin books, the first penny was minted in "1909'" and it only had Abraham Lincoln's face on one side, and the wheat on the back. The memorial was minted on the back of the penny in 1959. This 1902 penny is 7 years before it's documented time, and it has the memorial on the back side of it also. I took it to some well known coin dealers in Houston, Tx because that's where I was residing at that time. I received all kinds of explanations from them such as: "maybe it's been altered." I said, why would one alter a coin to a time where it didn't suppose to exist? How would one know what year and coin to choose? Wouldn't one alter something of "documented" value? He said "then God had to do this." Another said, "maybe they made a mistake at the mint." I said, then why didn't they document it as with all the others?" He refused to believe God could disclose such a coin to me , and he was very puzzled. Yet another said, "A car probably ran over it and changed the date." I said," maybe you need to find another profession." He took this penny as a joke. Still another said, "I don't even need to look at it because I've been in this business for 40 years. Maybe if you go get 59 more pennies, you could probably buy you a soda. But God told me to ask him, "have you been in this business longer than I(God) have?" And the Lord said to say to him, "If God told "you" there was a bag with 100 thousand dollars in it, on so and so street, in so and so place, and "you" believed Him, and sure enough you went there and found it, would you throw that away and say it's nothing too?" I left him standing there with his mouth "shut wide open." The last one I took it to, examined it, couldn't explain it, and mocked it by saying, "if I look closer maybe I'll see the virgin Mary on it." I told him, "my work is done now." To sum it all up is this: God put it in my heart to go to those people and places for a reason. I believe it was to show them that "He" is Lord, "He" is God, "He" knows all things, even the secret things, and that there is nothing hidden from Him, nor is there anything impossible or too hard for Him. He knows the mystery behind this penny. This thing that God has done is precious and awesome to me as He is. And not only to me, but to all who reads this testimony and who just "BELIEVES." I have now launched out into the deep with this testimony as God has commanded me to. So to you who have read this, "Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?" Matthew chapter 21, verse 42. God has truly fulfilled Matthew chapter 20 in my life. May the Lord's Spirit rest upon you all, and may His Grace be sufficient for you.
